Biography:

       Steelheart was a career criminal named Andriy Bondarenko. He was a low-level bank robber and stick-up man who did jobs that kept him out of the way of vigilantes and superheroes. But then he got greedy and was involved in a highrise heist of major art and jewelry totaling in the millions. But the crew got unlucky when Marid the Demonass happened to swing by on patrol. She smashed in and began to take down the crooks which woke the sleeping family that was being robbed. In desperation, Andriy took one of the kids as a hostage and that made Marid mad. The heroic devil shot him up with bone bullets and burnt him with hellfire, saving the innocent civilian and badly wounding Andriy. He was sent to the hospital at Forge Island Prison and wasted away in its medical unit. That was until the Warden made a secret deal to let Gewl Medical do experiments on some of the inmates. Andriy eagerly volunteered and was transformed, with major sections of his body, including nearly all his internal organs and his heart, being replaced by steel-plated robotics. He became a much more cold, much more powerful, and much more potent criminal in the wake of his change. He was one of the prisoners who escaped when 0M3GA81T unleashed his Chaos App and he has been in and out of prison for various acts of supercrime ever since. That's because now Steelheart can put up a fight even when a costumed hero tries to get int he way of his felonious plans. He's been used by Gewl Inc. for jobs (he owes them for life and knows they can shut down his robotic enhancements if he ever crosses them) but he also undertakes his own exploits, including going back and finishing the High Rise job that nearly killed him. Now all he needs to do is settle his score with Marid and all the other costumed heroes who ever messed with him.
